The creativity of those with dementia in their lives

I am collecting Alzheimer's and dementia-related stories on Gin-Gin.com. I have been consistently impressed by the creativity and storytelling of those who know someone with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia.

Here are a few stories worth exploring:

What is love? is a beautiful story about a caregiver, his love for his wife and a custom-made bicycle.

Alive inside looks at how music awakens the mind inside the disease.

Amy Simpson has taken beautiful photos of her grandmother's life with dementia.

And there are two novels about individuals with Alzheimer's: The Wilderness by Samantha Harvey and  Still Alice by Lisa Genova.

Alzheimer's facts to remember: More than 5 million individuals have Alzheimer's today. Someone develops Alzheimer's every 68 seconds. By 2050, 15 million are expected to have Alzheimer's.
